rA sustainable farming system is a holistic and integrated approach to the management of resilient agriculture. The Tawang district is located in the Northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh, Northeast India. The Monpa community is well-known for its sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices, an integral part and partial of their subsistence agriculture system. The paper aims to examine farming systems that are inclusive and sustainable forms of farming practices. The practices adopted by the community are the epitome of the coherent existence of agriculture and the environment. A total of sixteen villages from two administrative CD blocks were selected for the case study. A household-level survey was conducted, and the sampling size was determined at 50 %. The farming systems in the region are eco-friendly, involving the cultivation of crops in their natural form using organic compost and manure. Moreover, the study validates that the farming techniques practiced by the Monpa tribe are the manifestation of long-term sustainability and truly resilient agroecological practices.
